Professional Biography
- Clinical psychologist and Co-Director of PranaMind.
- Clinical experience includes work with:
- Children’s Hospital–Oakland
- New Leaf Treatment Center
- Oakland Community Counseling
- Sunset Day Treatment Center, San Francisco
- Earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health and Multicultural Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Berkeley–Alameda Campus (now Alliant University).
Academic and Teaching Experience
- Began teaching career as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the College of Notre Dame (now Notre Dame de Namur University).
- Served as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Skyline College.
- Achieved tenure as a Professor of Psychology at Skyline College.
- Coordinated the ASTEP (African-American Success Through Excellence and Persistence) program at Skyline College.
- Taught in a variety of undergraduate and graduate psychology programs throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Program Development and Leadership
- Assisted in developing a handbook for culturally sensitive learning communities as part of the GROWTH (Genuine Rebuilding Opportunities With Technology and Humanity) curriculum.
- Contributed to the development of:
- The Adewole Project
- ASTEP Math Academy at Skyline College
- Developed and co-directed the first Brain Training and Peak Performance Project with Dr. Raymond Jones at Skyline College.

- Author of the DragonSlayer violence prevention and intervention curriculum.
